Delivery of stock MacBook Pro models is available on launch day, June 24, but other memory and SSD upgrades push it back until at least July.
Apple has been dealing with Mac supply shortages for most of the year and shipping delays for the 13-inch MacBook Pro is no different. Stock configurations of the MacBook Pro are not arriving to customers until mid-August.
There are ongoing component shortages and manufacturing issues caused by the Pandemic, according to Apple.
Luca Maestri, Apple's CFO, said during the April earnings call that Apple was expecting ongoing supply issues to impact product sales. Problems meeting demand in the second quarter were expected to get worse later in the year.
Many of Apple's product categories will be impacted by the supply constraints.
Apple has not yet announced a launch date for the M2 MacBook Air, but given the Mac delays we have seen for the entire of 2022, supply shortages can be expected.
