Doctors Puzzled by Two-Year-Old Boy Who Already Hit Puberty

There is a strange medical case involving a child.

According to Insider, a toddler in the UK started puberty after being exposed to his father's testosterone gel.

The site reported that the toddler had more bone density than an adult assigned-male-at-birth person could. The child had "sizable" penis as well as "massive, sustained erections" that worried his mother so she took him to multiple UK doctors.

The child's parents were asked if the child had been exposed to a testosterone treatment. The father of the toddler used testosterone gel for medical reasons.

The mother told the site that she spent two years of her life thinking that she was protecting and taking care of him.

The child's symptoms seem to have been an accident and not the result of neglect.

Dr. Benjamin Udoka Nwosu told Insider that testosterone can be transferred through clothing. The child's parents want a warning on the label.

The child's early onset puberty was caused by a regular medical treatment used for gender affirming care. The father used the cream to treat his testicular condition.

Even though the use of testosterone caused harm to a child, nobody would object to it.

Even if this family needs to be more careful with their use of gender affirming treatments, it's great we have them.
