On July 15th, US customers will be able to watch the movie where Tom Holland recreated some of the famous scenes from the game. Many people have already seen the film, but this will be its first time on the internet.

If you want to make a decision on whether or not to watch it this summer, I recommend reading my colleague's excellent review to see how it holds up as a movie. My wife and friend who have never played any of the games thoroughly enjoyed it, even though it didn't feel essential for the series. It is possible that your mileage may vary.

Netflix is going to be the home for a lot of Sony movies

Last year, Sony Pictures made a deal with the streaming service to distribute the movie. Disney, NBCUniversal, and Warner Bros. all announced the films they produce would mostly debut on their own streaming services Sony agreed to put a lot of its movies on the platform after their theatrical run. Morbius flopped at the box office and was brought back to theaters by relentless memeing only to flop again. It will be morbin' time because it doesn't have enough problems to deal with.

The slate of upcoming movies and shows based on Sony properties will not be exclusive to Netflix. The Last of Us and Twisted Metal will both be on Peacock, while Sony is working on a show for the streaming service.
