According to a report in The Next Web, Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared at four European tech conferences via hologram.
Zelensky was projected into a box by a hologram. Video footage of the appearances was less impressive, but other angles gave a sense of depth, as though a life-size Zelensky had been transported inside the box. Zelensky used the opportunity to deliver a pointed message to Russia, which is currently in the midst of a brutal invasion of Ukraine.
He said that "this is not the only aspect of 'Star Wars' that we are putting into practice - we will defeat the empire as well."

As the conflict drags on, the president says tech and innovation can thrive in the country.
He said that we are living in a time of opportunities. For your companies, your technology, knowledge, expertise, and investments,Ukraine is a chance for you.
It's a good time for the president to speak. The codirector of a Ukrainian nonprofit said that trucks of supplies for the country have dwindled as attention for wars around the world has waned.
The hologram is an interesting way to make a pitch. It is possible that the president's message will get to the right people.
