Vash the Stampede, in his red duster, looks out at a smoking spaceship that has crash-landed in the desert.

One of the most beloved, fan-favorite anime series of the late ‘90s was called Trigun and starred Vash the Stampede, a gunslinger who wanders the arid planet of No Man's Land while trying to avoid bounty hunters. He is an ace shot and also a non-violent person. A new generation will be able to experience the sci-fi Western as a new adaptation of Nightow's comic is on the way.

A new staff and cast from the original 1998 series will be involved in the new series, which was announced last night. Nightow and other producers from Orange and Toho will be in a panel with the director and voice actors of Trigun Stampede.

This isn't the first resurrection of the series, a spin-off movie was released in 2010. It is expected to premiere globally in 2023.
