There is an Obi-Wan.

Disney

Obi-Wan has been a bit of an up and down roller coaster for fans with less consistency than The Book of Boba Fett. With only one more episode left, everyone is left to wonder if this was a good episode.

Even though Obi-Wan was conceived and written as a one-off mini-series, no one seems to want it to end.

Here is Deborah Chow talking about the prospect to Radio Times.

There are more tales you could tell. There's another 10 years before we get to A New Hope and with a character like Obi-Wan, I think it's interesting to watch him ride across the sand. Who doesn't know? It's hard to say at the moment, but it wasn't intended.

Here's the star.

He hopes it isn't the last time he plays him. I'm sure we can think of a few more stories before I turn into Alec Guinness, don't you think?

His co-star.

It was a single story. I'd like to continue with this character. I think there's more to be explored and I would be so happy to do so.

There is a person named Obi-Wan.

Disney

Everyone agrees that there are more stories to be told even if this was the end. There is talk about spin-offs of Obi-Wan like a Reva series, and there is also talk about a Darth Vader focused series where he would be the man in the suit. The second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi seems to be the easiest.

There are other canon stories between this show and A New Hope, such as the one in Star Wars Rebels, in which Obi-Wan re-killed Darth Maul after he returned. It is difficult to imagine that in live action.

We know that Obi-Wan will return to Tatooine if Reva or Darth Vader don't kill him, as well as that she has to be safely returned to Alderaan. We know how this ends because Reva has learned about his existence. How could they end it for Ben? It would have to be something completely new to get him out of hiding.

I don't know if "actors want to keep acting as characters" is enough to keep making more of a series that is already trying to justify its existence. There are a lot of Star Wars fans who just want to see the two of them doing anything together. I suppose you could have them act out some of the best arcs from Clone Wars in live action. Who doesn't know? After the series is over, we probably won't hear anything at all.
