Travelers entering The Bahamas will no longer need to apply for a Travel Health Visa in order to enter the country, as of June 19, 2022.
Travelers entering The Bahamas are only required to give a negative COVID-19 test.
Travelers and children from two to eleven years of age must have a Rapid Antigen test at least 72 hours before their arrival. Travelers who are unvaccinated must submit only a negative test.
Travelers are reminded that they should still be aware of the masks on the islands and follow the guidelines when on the islands.
The Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation said that the discontinuation of the Travel Health Visa is a signal to the international community that we are open for business. We have continued to evaluate protocols and adjust requirements to reflect the current environment during the Pandemic. The Travel Health Visa was a problem for travelers and we are happy to be able to eliminate it.
In March it was announced that the post-arrival testing requirement for unvaccinated travelers would no longer be required. The US State Department categorizes it as a Level 2 risk, not due to the virus.
