I was reassured by the January 6 committee hearing that former President Donald Trump, his political allies and supporters will not have a problem with Oprah Winfrey or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez being America's new president and vice president.

Fair's fair, right? There is no way that Trump would change his mind about the legal theory he embraced after losing the election. It would be hypocritical for Trump to be hypocritical.

A legal theory unhinged

A lawyer named John Eastman came up with a legal theory that looked like it was written by a bunch of dull-witted chickens.

The theory meant either that Trump would win or that he would lose, and that's what he bought into. Even after thousands of Trump's supporters said the whole theory was garbage, the former president never shut up about it.

Greg Jacob testified that he asked the man if the legal theory he created would stand up to scrutiny by the Supreme Court. It would lose 9-0.

The committee showed an email from the man to the man, saying that he should be on the pardon list.

Conservatives have good reason to question these hearings.

Trump was seen as a big bully by a former adviser. The rioters wanted my boss to be executed.

Nothing shows more confidence in a legal opinion than saying, "You know, I think would like a pardon, thank you very much!"

In a speech this year, the vice president said that the presidency belonged to the American people. There is no idea more un-American than the idea that anyone can pick a president.

It was clear that Trump disagreed.

Coups are cool

The Washington Post's Bob Woodward and Robert Costa reported in their book "Peril" that when Pence said in an Oval Office meeting that he didn't have the power to overturn the election, Trump said, "but wouldn't."

It's definitely true! It would be cool to have a dickens like that. If you were Vice President in January 2001 You just up and make Oprah/Ocasio if you become Vice President in January 2025.

Rioters at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

If anyone accepted that Trump was right to force Pence to throw democracy in a dumpster, they would have to submit to the 1,000-year rule of Oprah and AOC. I think Oprah has a life-extending serum she can take. She is always ahead of the game.

The committee witness, a retired Judge, testified that the effort to overturn the election was a violation of the US Constitution.

Maybe a revolution isn't so bad?

It is my opinion that the declaration of Donald Trump as the next president would have caused a constitutional crisis in America.

Well, okay. It would be cool according to the former president. Harris naming Oprah president must also be cool. I don't know if that's how the property works. I haven't been able to get my chickens back yet.

The committee presented evidence and testimony from Republicans in and around the Trump administration that Trump knew the plot was illegal, and that he pushed forward with it even though he knew it was against the law.

The vice president and I are in total agreement that the vice president has the power to act.

Legal and cool.

Trump's people were aware of the election fraud claims. They didn't talk much.

There was an attack on our democracy on January 6th.

Jacob testified that the statement was categorically untrue.

Today, almost two years after that fateful day in January, Donald Trump and his allies and supporters are a clear and present danger.

It's correct. Don't fret. President Oprah will make sure that our nation is protected. Everyone will get a new car.
