There is no other show on the air that gets as many laughs and has as much heart. The heir to Schitt's Creek's " Most Likable TV Show" title, the series presents a nicer, funnier world than the one we live in, populated by characters the audience cares about.

The show is appealing due to the combination of smart and empathetic writing and an ensemble cast. In a recent interview with Digital Trends, creator Sierra Teller Ornelas and some of the cast talked about what may happen in season 2, how a Dirty Dancing production number was one of the hardest scenes to shoot for one cast member, and why it's the most huggable show on

What can viewers expect from the second season of the show?

Sierra Teller Ornelas is the creator and writer of the second season. The second season of the show is going to be great. Audiences enjoyed the warmth and comedy in the first season. The romance is something we really like this year. Reagan has a lot of romances and we get to watch herratiate herself into her community. Nathan rebuilds his legacy from scratch. You get to see Terry Thomas level up into a dream scenario that has more pitfalls than he might have thought.

It's rompy, it's funny, and we get to lean into TV stereotypes that I grew up loving. A trip that they go on has some fun elements that are native to Comedy Central.

The season 1 finale turned Nathan's life around. What will happen to him in the second season?

Nathan has an identity crisis at the end of the first season. He is thrown to the ground. He doesn't know how or where to start. He crashes at the beginning of the second season. It's not nice. He is trying to figure out his life and make dumb choices, but he is doing it in a funny way. He has his friend Reagan to help with the landing.

Reagan will be explored more in the Aunt Sue episode. Reagan this season, what should viewers expect?

The role of the Auntie in native communities is honored in that episode. There are aunties in India. Reagan is enjoying leadership in her career and her family. She is growing and we get to see how difficult it can be to step into your power.

Nathan and Reagan are the main characters in the show. What has their relationship looked like in the second season?

It got tested a lot at the end of the first season. They are still there for each other and they know each other better than anyone. They can push each other's buttons. How is it different? How would you describe it?

In the second season we might see that Nathan and Reagan are more like family than friends. I can't get rid of you even if I wanted to because they're so close. We get to see the shade of their friendship and how they will fight for each other in times of need. Their friendship has only gotten stronger.

What was your favorite scene to shoot?

At the end of the season, Bobby is going to dress up like a celebrity.

Terry: Hmm, Michael Greyeyes The dance sequence from Dirty Dancing was the hardest scene. We spent a lot of time on that. As the cameras were about to roll, a big audience had gathered and I will always remember that. I am proud of how it turned out because of the pressure that was on to deliver. Even though she wasn't trained as a dancer, she's still a great one. I think we did a good job dancing together.

At the end of the season, there is a very silly and wonderful celebratory scene that was shot late at night. Everyone is loopy and there is a lot of crazy dancing going on in this scene. It was just a lot of silliness. I don't know if I will limbo a bit.

Terry dances with a woman in Rutherford Falls.

What do you want viewers to take away from this season?

The writing this season is truly ensemble in its focus, and that is what Greyeyes thinks. I think Rutherford Falls does a great job of living in context. Our histories are in context with us. People around us include newcomers, immigrants, and settlers. The sort of complex dynamics of how we relate to each other can be achieved by choosing that focus.

Ornelas hopes people laugh with the second season of the show. I am so proud of the jokes that I hope they enjoy them. The show tries to humanize all of the characters, whether they are native or not, young or old.

There is a warmth that comes from the show. I hope that people feel that warmth in these times when things can get really flattened and turned into symbols. We are able to make people laugh with characters who feel like they are familiar with me, and that makes me happy.

I concur. There is a show you want to see. You would like to hug everyone in it.

The show is very huggable.
