  • He thought she was more upset than he was.

The costar of "Snow White and the Huntsman" apologized immediately after punching him in the face while filming a scene, according to the actor.

He said he was more upset that she didn't continue on through the take.

He said that she hit him and then exclaimed, "Oh my gosh!" I apologize. It would've been the most honest take we had. I believe she was more upset than I was.

The film was a dark take on the classic German fairy tale about Snow White. Snow White escaped from the clutches of the sorceress and evil stepmother of the main character.

Two actors talked about Stewart's punch while promoting the film.

During an appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," Stewart recalled making a noise when her hand made contact with him.

She said it spun him around. It was insane.

She knocked him out of his close-up while she was supposed to slightly miss his face.

She said that she wasn't proud. I cried instantly to my eyes. I asked if you were ok.

In an interview with Moviephone's "Unscripted," he said that with each take, he felt her hand getting closer to the end of his nose.

He said that he thought it was going to hurt.

Stewart said that he didn't say anything to her.

I guess I was in the zone. The hook was on the side of my nose. I was wondering if it was good. Everyone nodded. I thought it had broken. There are a lot of blood vessels.
