The United States, Canada and Mexico will be hosting the World Cup in the year 2026. The 11 U.S. cities that were chosen from the candidate pool include three in Mexico and two in Canada.

There is a list.

  • The United States includes New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City, Seattle, San Francisco/Bay Area and Los Angeles/Sofi Stadium.

  • Canada: Toronto.

  • Guadalajara and Mexico City are in Mexico.

Four years ago, the tournament was awarded to the North American and Caribbean rivals, fending off a strong bid from Morocco. The World Cup will be hosted by three countries for the first time since 2002, when Japan and South Korea shared the honor. Mexico will make history as the first nation to host three times, followed by the US and Canada.

It will be the first World Cup to have 48 qualified teams following the expansion of the field from 32 to 64 teams. In this new format, 16 groups of three teams will compete with the top two teams from each group progressing to a Round of 32, which will be single elimination.

There will be 80 matches spread across 20 venues, with the U.S. and Mexico taking 10 matches each. The three regions are East, Central and West.

Everything you need to know about the venue.

There are Venues in the US, Mexico, and Canada.

Venues in the United States

Seattle, the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles' Sofi Stadium were all chosen to host 60 games in the United States in the year 206. Houston, Dallas, Atlanta and Kansas City all made the cut. Boston, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia and Miami completed the U.S. contingent of cities.

Los Angeles' Rose Bowl, Nashville, Cincinnati, Baltimore/Washington, Atlanta, and Denver were not chosen.

There are venues in the US and Mexico.

Seattle.

  • The venue is Lumen Field. The address is S, Seattle, Washington 98134.

  • For the World Cup, the capacity is 69,000.

  • It opened in 2002.

  • The field of play is 105 meters wide.

  • There are pro teams here that play football and soccer.

  • There are two games in the round of World Cup.

Despite being built for the Seattle Seahawks, Lumen Field has a reputation as one of the best and loudest soccer stadiums in the U.S. The MLS side has only seen its status as the best-attended team in the league threatened during recent years of expansion, but still remains one of the most boisterous and best-attended stadiums in MLS. The stadium has a partial roof that traps noise.

It is easy to get to Lumen Field from the King Street Station and the Sound Transit rail line. It takes about 20 minutes by public transportation, 26 minutes on foot and 10 minutes by car to get from the stadium to the market.

The venue has hosted a number of high-profile soccer matches in the past. The U.S. national teams, Mexico, Brazil, Manchester United, Barcelona, Club America and others are all friends.

The San Francisco Bay Area is located in California.

  • Levi's Stadium is located in Santa Clara, California.

  • 70,912 is the capacity.

  • It opened in 2014; when did it happen?

  • The field is 105 meters wide.

  • The 49ers are a pro team that plays in the National Football League.

  • The semifinals of the World Cup were played.

One of the most technologically advanced sports arenas in the world is located in Silicon Valley. It is the first stadium in the NFL to hold both certificates for new construction and operations and maintenance. An in-stadium app as well as an organic rooftop farm can be found. It's not bad for a cost of over one billion dollars.

Levi's Stadium has hosted a number of major events, including the Gold Cup final and the US national team's send-off for the World Cup.

The city of Los Angeles is located in California.

  • The venue is SoFi Stadium, 1001 Stadium Dr.

  • There is a capacity of 80,000.

  • It opened in 2021, when did it do so?

  • The field of play is not known.

  • There are pro teams that play here.

  • The first round of World Cup games are still to come.

For a $5 billion price tag, one would think the newest stadium would have enough space for a World Cup game. The home to two National Football League teams dazzles with its circular double-sided video screen that hangs overhead. The Rams became the second team to win a Super Bowl in their home stadium when they did it in 2022.

The 1994 men's final and 1999 women's final were held at the Rose Bowl, which was not on the preliminary list of venues. It's hard to disagree with the decision because of the amenities and easier access that Sofi provides.

Club America and LAFC will play each other in a MLS-LIGA MX match on August 3.

The Super Bowl is a major event here. The first flagship NFL game in the LA-area since 1993 was hosted by Sofi and it has staged several major concerts since opening. Wrestlemania 39 will take place in April, and the opening and closing ceremonies of the Summer Olympics will take place in August.

The city of Dallas is located in the state of Texas.

  • The semifinals and final of the world cup.

Since opening in 2009, the home of the Cowboys has always packed a lot of shine and star power. The Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers played in the Super Bowl in 2011.

The place has hosted major events such as the NBA All-Star Game and the NCAA Final Four.

Both Mexico and the USMNT have played there in the past, as well as European clubs such as Barcelona. It has been reported that the field will need to be widened for the World Cup, and that it will need grass installed over the turf to satisfy the requirements of the sport's world governing body.

The city of Houston.

  • The stadium is in Houston, Texas.

  • There is a capacity of 72, 220.

  • It opened in 2002.

  • The field of play is 105 meters wide.

  • The Houston Texans are a pro team that plays in the National Football League.

  • Quarterfinals and third-place matches in the World Cup.

It's safe to say that a World Cup match hasn't been played at the stadium that also hosts a livestock and rodeo show. Since opening in 2002, the home of the Houston Texans has seen a lot of soccer, including two Tom Brady's Super Bowl wins. Lionel Messi became Argentina's all-time goal scorer, Mexico played here many times, and the only Manchester City-Manchester United derby outside of England was held here last year.

The Astrodome, the world's first ever multisport domed stadium, is an icon that fans will get to see, even though it is now condemned.

There have been two Super Bowls at the stadium, as well as numerous Gold Cup matches, the 2010 MLS All-Star Game and even three games in the last two years.

In the last few years, European clubs have made it a stop, with Man United beating Man City in the last two seasons.

The city of Kansas City.

  • There is a stadium in Kansas City.

  • There is a capacity of 76,560.

  • It opened in 1972, when it did.

  • The field of play is 105 meters wide.

  • There are pro teams that play here.

  • There are three World Cup games in this round.

Kansas City is a hub for a lot of things, it was the start of the trail west to Oregon, California and Santa Fe, and it was a place that ignored the prohibition laws of the 1920's to become a top city for jazz and entertainment. The Kansas City Royals won the baseball World Series in 2015, while the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowls thanks to the play of quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Two MLS Cups and four U.S. Open Cup have been won by the city's MLS team, Sporting Kansas City.

A $375 million upgrade to facilities and amenities made for a more fan-friendly day out at the stadium. The crowds will be brought closer to the action with additional video boards, bars and concessions.

The stadium is familiar with soccer. It has hosted World Cup qualification for the USMNT over the years as well as the U.S. Open Cup final in 2004.

The Guinness World Records still holds the venue as the loudest-ever stadium, with a sound level of 142.2 decibels recorded during the Chiefs' 42-14 win over the New England Pats in September.

Atlanta.

  • The venue is Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

  • The capacity is expected to be 65,085 for the World Cup.

  • It opened in 2017: when did it happen?

  • The field of play is 105 meters wide.

  • The Atlanta Falcons are a pro team.

  • The semifinals of the World Cup were played.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium has a modern feel and has a lot of amenities. The largest video display in the world is on the video halo board. The Mercedes-Benz Stadium has technology built into it's design. The outside world doesn't feel too far away with the transparent materials around the stadium.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is one of the largest stadiums for an MLS club, but that hasn't deterred the atmosphere at games for Atlanta United, a team that drew an average of more than 50,000 before the swine flu hit. The stadium has a canopy over all the seating and a retractable roof over the field that makes it sound great. Atlanta United won the MLS Cup in a loud environment.

There are major events here. The College Football Playoff National Championship, MLS Cup and Super Bowl 53 are just a few of the marquee games that have taken place inside the dome. The MLS All-Star Game was held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the MLS team lost on penalties to Italian giants.

It was the place where the album Donda was supposed to be finished after a major listening event. While taking a break from work, he looked at an Atlanta United game.

There is a park in Miami, Florida.

  • The Hard Rock Stadium is located in Miami Gardens, Florida.

  • There is a capacity of 67,528.

  • It opened in 1987.

  • The field of play is 105 m wide.

  • The Orange Bowl is hosted by the University of Miami.

  • The quarterfinals of the World Cup are played.

Miami's rich history has a lot to do with soccer, with the "Magic City" having a team in virtually every pro soccer league that's popped up in the USA in the 1960s through to Major League Soccer.

In order to keep up with the pace of pro sports, Hard Rock Stadium has just undergone a $500 million upgrade that includes a state-of-the-art roof/canopy protecting roughly 90% of the seats from the blazing south Florida sun.

Miami will get another soccer team in 2020, but the city has hosted many major events in the past. Since 2001, Hard Rock Stadium has hosted several college football national championship games, the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl.

The city of Philadelphia.

  • The venue is Lincoln Financial Field, 1 Lincoln Financial Field Way, Philadelphia, PA 19145.

  • What year did it open?

  • The field of play is 105 m wide.

  • The Philadelphia Eagles are a pro team that plays in the National Football League.

  • The round of World Cup games will be decided.

Lincoln Financial Field is a multi-purpose venue that can handle elite events and is located in Brotherly Love. It's a zero waste facility with 11,000 solar panels and 14 mico wind-turbines to offset the power consumed by the stadium during a full season of Eagles games. Since 2016 tons of food waste has been composted and all materials away from landfills.

The first event at the stadium was a soccer game. Two years after the ground was broken in South Philly, Man United and Barcelona played there, and the city's connection to the sport has only grown since. The NHL's Stadium Series, in which pro hockey plays on special rinks in outdoor arenas around the country, arrived in 2019! It's a regular stop for world-famous musicians, with Taylor Swift four times, Beyonce three times, and Coldplay twice, among others.

New York and New Jersey are both located in the state of New York.

  • There is a stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

  • There's a capacity of 87,157.

  • It opened in 2010; when did it do so?

  • The field of play is 105 meters wide.

  • The New York Giants and the New York Jets play in the National Football League.

  • The opening game of the World Cup will be played.

It has hosted world-class soccer games since it was 12 years old. The United States, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, the Republic of Ireland, Mexico, Ecuador and Columbia have all played a game there. The 2016 edition of the tournament became the best attended in the competition's history with a crowd of over 80,000.

A bus ride from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will take up to 50 minutes. More than 2 million people come to the stadium each year for 50 large events.

The lacrosse Big City Classic was the first major event at the stadium. In addition to being the home of the Jets and Giants, it's also hosted XFL games, the Super Bowl and Wrestlemania. He came back soon after.

The city of Boston is located in Massachusetts.

  • Gillette Stadium is located in Foxborough, MA.

  • It opened in 2002.

  • The field of play is 105 meters wide.

  • There are pro teams that play here.

  • The semifinals of the World Cup were played.

Gillette Stadium has hosted the World Cup in the past. In 1994 and 1999, the USWNT played six and five games, respectively, at Foxboro Stadium, which is now parking for the Revs and Pats. Gillette has hosted a number of international events, including the World Cup and Gold Cup.

In its 20th year, Gillette lacks much of the glamor and modernity of other stadiums, but it underwent network renovations in 2016 to improve wi-fi availability and its food and drink offerings. The Revolution averaged just 18,861 in attendance last season, but they had a sellout streak dating back to 1994 and fostered one of the more atmospheric home-field advantages in the league.

Gillette has been a host of major events over the years, including the New England Revolution. Gillette has been present for both the men's and women's national team. It's a major East Coast tour stop for some of the world's biggest musical acts, it's hosted more prime time football games than can be counted, and it's also home to the premier lacrosse league in the country.

Venues in Mexico

In Thursday's announcement, all three of the Mexico venues were chosen to host.

Mexico City.

  • The venue is located in Calz. Sta., De Tlalpan 3465 Ursula Coapa is located in Ciudad de Mexico.

  • It opened in 1966.

  • The field of play is 105 m wide.

  • Mexico's national teams, Club America, are pro teams that play here.

  • The opening game of the World Cup.

The name evokes stories of some of the sport's greatest players. The World Cup was held here in 1970. Diego Maradona scored the "Hand of God" goal against England in the 1986 quarterfinals before holding off West Germany in the final. The 1971 predecessor to the Women's World Cup was hosted at the stadium, which is the only one that will host three men's World Cup games.

The capacity has been reduced from over 114,000 to about 87,000, and the atmosphere has become less cacophonous as a result of recent renovations. The official home of El Tri is here and it serves two of the biggest teams in the Mexican league. One of soccer's greatest cathedrals.

There are a lot of major events hosted here. In addition to the above, the Azteca has hosted Michael Jackson, Menudo, U2 and Shakira, as well as nine NFL games, one of which will be between the San Francisco 49ers and ArizonaCardinals.

The city of Monterey is located in the state of Nuevo Leon.

The new soccer stadium in Mexico has become a must-visit place for fans of the league. Since moving in it has been the setting for a new period of success. It has yet to host a Mexico men's national team match despite having a green design award. The U.S. women's national team will play in the tournament, which will be hosted by it.

The house was built by Sir Alex Ferguson. After playing the first half for the home side in a preseason game against Manchester United in 2010, the Mexican player moved to the English side for the second.

It looks like a volcano covered in a ring of smoke. The region's most recent men's Olympic qualification tournament was hosted here, but Mexico's men's national team only played here once.

Despite not being a venue of choice for El Tri, it did host eight matches of the U17 World Cup as well as serving as the opening and closing ceremony site for the Pan American Games.

VENUES IN CANADA

The only city that wasn't chosen as a tournament site for the Canadian contingent was Edmonton.

There is a city in British Columbia.

  • BC Place is located at 777 Pacific Blvd.

  • It opened in 1983, when it was.

The U.S. women's national team won the World Cup at this location in 2015. In 2015, a sea of red, white and blue marched towards the stadium as the World Cup was about to start.

The artificial turf at BC Place is the subject of a lawsuit. The British Columbia city replaced Montreal as a candidate city because of this. BC Place will install grass to meet the requirements for the tournament. The roof can be opened or closed in a matter of minutes.

BC Place is the main stadium for both the 2010 Winter Olympics and the 2012 Paralympics, as well as the annual host of the Canada Sevens, which is part of rugby's World Sevens Series. It hosted British royalty when Prince Charles and Princess Diana attended the 1986 World expo.

  • The year when it opened was 2007.

  • The field of play is 105 m wide.

  • There are pro teams that play here.

  • The round of World Cup games are over.

The Pan American Games were hosted at the same time as the Women's World Cup, but the U-20 men's and women's World Cup were hosted there. Ahead of the Pan Am Games, BMO Field added a $120 million expansion that included an additional 8,400 seats, a new canopy and premium suites. An additional 17,000 people are expected to be accommodated at the stadium, which will be used for the World Cup in six years.

It is an ideal host city for the World Cup due to its close proximity to the heart of Canada's largest city and capital. It's comforting to find the in-stadium poutine in Canada.

The Canada national rugby team is one of the major events hosted here. The MLS Cup was hosted by Toronto FC, but it was also the site of the U-20 World Cup and the Women's U-20 World Cup.
