Kim did not damage the dress she wore to the Met Gala. The dress was shown before and after Kim K took it out for a spin. A rep for Ripley's Believe It or Not! is in support of Kim. The report states that a number of the seams are pulled and worn. The material is very delicate. There is a lot of damage done by the hooks and eyes. The photo was taken before Ripley's bought the piece. Since purchasing the dress, Ripley's has displayed it around the world and put it at risk for damage. The dress Marilyn wore when she sang for the Prez is the same one she wore in 1962. Kim lost 16 pounds to fit into the piece. Kim had been gifted a piece of Monroe's hair, and one of the accounts accused her of damaging the dress, but that claim has been discredited. Kim's obviously taken a lot of heat for the alleged damage, but Ripley's is making one thing clear.
