In the wake of the "Fake Klay Thompson" incident before Game 5 of the NBA Finals in San Francisco, we now have video confirmation of a man walking into Chase Center.
It is one thing to hear about it, but now that we can see his journey through security, it raises more questions. You would think it would be more difficult to sneak into a professional sports arena today. I don't think you can call this sneaking.
He walked in and didn't bother to take care of himself.
At the beginning and end of the video, there is a female security guard. She was suspended from her job over the stunt. This is a bunch of bullshit.
A man dressed in a security guard uniform is passed to his right by a man dressed in a metal detector. If that person was also a security guard, he could have stopped the shenanigans. There are at least two people sitting at a checkpoint at the arena, one of which is casually walking by with his camera crew.
If you have a camera person following you, you can get into any venue you want. It's just icing on the cake. When I was in high school, people said I looked like Cool J. Gurley is in a good position to win the game.
The security guard from the beginning of the video should not be blamed. If this is the case, the Golden State Warriors should be embarrassed. The person at the front was not the only level of security that failed here.
They were looking for the team store. I don't think this is a good cover, but it's a good one. The hometown crowd won't be seeing fake Klay at home games for the foreseeable future due to his ban.
