Ehab Galal was fired as national team coach after just three games.

He was dismissed after a loss to Ethiopia and a loss to South Korea.

Hazem Emam is a board member of the EFA.

After a season at Cairo-based Pyramids, Galal was hired by Egypt to manage another club side.

In his first match as Egypt's head coach, the Pharaohs won a Nations Cup qualification match by a single point.

Both of their losses were missed by their captain and leading scorer.

The EFA will bring in a technical director as well as several foreign coaches, according to Emam.

He thanked coach Ehab Galal, who has worked under some tough circumstances. It would be better for everyone to change if the pressure was too much.

The record seven-time African champion, led by the former Portugal and Iran coach and assistant manager to Sir Alex Ferguson, were beaten on penalties in the final of the Nations Cup in February.

In the Africa's play-offs for the World Cup, Egypt lost to the same team in a penalty shoot out.
