Musk believes that employees should be allowed to work from home. Musk said that he preferred working in person and would confirm with managers that remote employees were helping the company.

According to a person who heard the call, Musk said it wouldn't make sense to fire someone if they could only work from home. It's definitely not in favor of things that are angry.

The response came during a virtual all-hands meeting with employees of the company, during which the CEO addressed them for the first time and answered questions. The meeting comes at a time when Musk is trying to take over the company.

Musk had a hardline stance against the policy at the company. The subject line of Musk's email was "Remote work is no longer acceptable."

If employees choose, they will be able to work from home indefinitely.

Following the news of Musk's email to some executives, the company said it would allow employees to work from home this month.
