One of the boldest product announcements at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas was the dual up monitor from Lg. Some of us were expecting it to cost more, but it is cheaper than we thought.
Instead of doubling the width of a monitor, as most display makers have tried already, the dual up is effectively stacked two 21.5-inch QHD monitors on top of each other and has a 16:18 aspect ratio. It could be the tall order that content creators and productivity sickos have been waiting for when it comes to the design of the product.
98 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut is covered by the dualUp, and it supports HDR and has a small screen. The dualup has two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort, multipleUSB-A 3.0 ports, and ausb-c port with data passthrough. A jack for headphones is also present.
Two 7W speakers and support forHDR10 are included in the list of features. It can show two sources at the same time. The monitor has a stand that can fit on most desks and tables. It allows a wide range of movements.
We will have a review of the dualup in the near future. It was more appropriate to call it a QuadUp setup because we got two units.
The complete specifications of the dualup are listed here.
