The credit card industry is competitive and card issuers have a lot of different strategies to get their cards at the front of consumers. Sometimes credit card issuers introduce limited time card designs, which is something that usually doesn't get me excited, but this may be an exception.
The most premium card in the portfolio will get a special design for a limited time. Amex and Delta have joined forces to offer a credit card made from a plane.
The Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card can be used between June 16 and August 3, 2022. There is a special version of the card that can be requested by existing card members. The card is made with 25% metal from a retired plane.
The card comes with exclusive content via an augmented reality experience created for card members, which includes Boeing 747 history, interviews with Delta pilots and crew members, and an up- close look at Delta ship #6307's transformation from a passenger plane into the card design.
A plane that was in service for 27 years flew over 14 thousand flights, spent over 116,000 hours in the air, and carried four million passengers.
Special edition card designs don't do much for me I use the cards that offer me the best rewards for my spending without thinking about their appearance or what material they are made of. I would make an exception for this card because it is the best credit card for av nerds.
I wouldn't want to use this card because I would want to keep it in mint condition. I would like to put this in a case on my desk and keep it there for future use.
I think I'm not your average consumer when it comes to this stuff.
Delta and American Express are offering a limited time design for their most premium co- branded Reserve Card, which is made of the fuselage of a retired Boeing jumbo jet. The card is made of a jumbo jet and has a picture of it on it.
I love this card design so much.
