That Viral DALL-E AI Is Great at Generating Images of Drugs

There is an apparent knowledge of drugs in the DALL-E Mini image- generating neural network.

Futurism decided to see how well it handles other types of controversial content after it was reported that the DALL-E Mini is capable of generating racist stuff. We found our finding. There are depictions of drugs and drug use that the artificial intelligence can spit out.

The DALL-E Mini seems to borrow a phrase from Jimi Hendrix when it comes to drug use.

Drug images DALL-E Mini conjures are hilarious. Images of the chemical structure of the horse tranquilizer known for having both therapeutic and party purposes are what it comes up with when prompted withketamine.

There are images that look like someone spiked glasses of wine with drugs if you expand that prompt to "doing ketamine at a party".

Human After All

DALL-E Mini is beholden to content from human-created training criteria. It shows the biases and knowledge of humans. Prompting with "addiction" yields blurrier versions of tired anti-drug pamphlet imagery, while inputting the term "junkie" depicts racialized, faceless people who aren't even shown with drugs at all.

It's fun to see how an artificial intelligence thinks about drugs, and how it depicts drug use in different scenarios.
