The aim of the open letter posted by employees is to ensure that the company lives up to its stated values. The manner in which Musk has used the platform to respond to allegations of sexual harassment levied against him is called out in the letter.

The letter, which claims to be written by a group of women and people of color, calls for the leadership of the company to address and condem the behavior of Musk on the social media platform.

It asks that leadership be held equally accountable across the board for treating employee culture with the same rigor and seriousness as the company does when fixing hardware errors. It seems better definition and enforcement of the so-called "no-asshole" and "zero tolerance" policies of the company.

While maintaining that his political leanings are moderate, Musk took heat for publicly backing Mayra Flores, a Republican in Texas with a history of promoting Qanon, on his social media accounts.

We reached out to the company but haven't heard back yet. The full text of the open letter can be found on The Verge.
