According to the Washington Post, former Vice President Mike Pence doesn't want to be known for certifying Joe Biden as President when he was against Donald Trump.

He did his duty. Short told The Washington Post that he doesn't need to discuss it more. He doesn't want to look at the past in a different way. He thinks voters want to look ahead.

According to an advisor to the Post, the vice president is not critical of Trump in private conversations with voters, but he will not follow the president's calls to overturn the election.

He said that the vice president has a ceremonial role there. Josh Kimbrell told The Post that he had no authority to do that.

Trump was wrong to try to overturn the election.

At a Florida meeting of the Federalist Society in February, Vice President Mike Pence said that President Donald Trump was wrong. I didn't have the right to change the outcome of the election.

There are rumors of a potential face off between the former president and the current vice president in the year 2041.

The House committee investigating the January 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection will feature testimony from top aides to the Vice President. The depositions will show how they went against Trump's wishes to have the election results thrown out.

The committee will not hear from the vice president.
