After a customer's romantic take-away order ended up being delivered to the wrong house, a well-intended McDonald's proposal went pear-shaped.

The person who didn't get the meal he ordered from Macca's found a note in his delivery that asked if he would marry him.

The Canada-based Redditor captioned a photo of the delivery, "So I ordered Mcdonalds via DoorDash and found this in the bag."

The DoorDash driver messed up some plans when he got my order wrong.

McJokes on the menu

The post, shared by user Xagreuss, has gone viral with over 41,000 upvotes and over 1,700 comments that made light of the whole incident.

"Do you want to marry me?" one person asked.

A reply followed by another. I love you.

A person replied "I get the McHouse" after another joked "You can keep the McKids".

A Macca's delivery might not be the best way to propose.

One person commented that God gave them a second chance to propose.

He saved the guy who was going to propose with Mcdonald's meals. Another asked if I mean really.

Dashers not to blame

DoorDash drivers said their job was to deliver what was given to them and not to look into the bags that were taped shut when they received them.

There's a doorDash driver here. We don't look in the bag when we get it, and we don't make your orders either. That's all on Mcdonald's. With a few quick messages to DoorDash support, you can get a partial refund. One said that they hoped that helped.

The dasher did not get your order wrong and Mcdonald's gave you a sealed bag.

The original poster assumed that the Door Dash driver was carrying multiple orders. He said he asked Mcdonald's to fix the error, but they refused and said it was on DoorDash to correct it.

This isn't the first time a proposal from Macca has gone wrong. One man's romantic gesture went down in flames when he proposed to his girlfriend at a fast food restaurant in South Africa.
