The port city of Haeju is facing an acute enteric epidemic according to the KCNA.

The leader of the country ordered local health officials to quickly contain the outbreak after he received medicines prepared by his family.

The South Korean government believes that the outbreak is likely to have been caused by a disease that can be contracted from contaminated water or food.

The country reported 26,010 suspected new Covid-19 cases and one death on Thursday.
