Sarina Wiegman
England will play Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland in preparation for the Euros

England hopes to perfect their style of play and find a starting XI for the Euros by using their upcoming friendly games.

The Lionesses will play Austria on July 6th in the opening game of the tournament.

They are preparing for the Euros by training at St George's Park and playing Belgium on Thursday.

"We still want to do a lot of things in our style of play."

Different opponents are standing in front of us. It's nice to see what she can bring to the team since she has never been in the squad before.

We will take it step by step, but I don't want to give you all of it.

When asked if strong individual performances against Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland could affect her XI, she said she was getting closer.

We have some difficult choices to make because this team is very competitive. That's one of the reasons why we play these games.

The players need to keep up their performance. You have opportunities when you play a great game. Knowing where the players are and how we can make other scenarios work is what it is about.

Players expected to 'manage own emotions'

After naming her final squad for the Euros, the game against Belgium will be played at the same time as Thursday's game.

Despite recent injuries, Kelly and Scott were chosen despite not being included in the original squad.

Following the news, he hopes the players will manage their own emotions and relax.

"It's good to know what's going on and what we need to do to get ready," saidWiegman.

It doesn't bring relaxation for the game. We were getting ready for Belgium. We can focus on football, we have a gameplan, and the players have tasks, so they can just execute them.

Hopefully, their thoughts are on that.

There is a near-full squad to choose from, though Jess Carter is a doubt and will have a late fitness test.
