  • Mo Brooks begged Donald Trump to re-endorse him a week ago, but now he's on the warpath.

  • It's clear that Trump has no loyalty to anyone or anything but himself.

  • He accused the former president of abandoning his agenda.

Just a week after begging for Donald Trump to back him in his Senate race, Alabama Rep. MoBrooks is on the warpath with the former president.

In an interview with local Alabama news outlet AL.com published on Wednesday, the man who was previously known to be a Trump loyalist slammed the president.

"It's clear that Donald Trump doesn't have any loyalty to anyone or anything but himself."

He said that he thought Trump was trying to reestablish his brand.

Donald Trump just had his head handed to him by Georgia voters, having lost five major races that he endorsed in, and he's trying to reestablish his brand.

He thought that Trump was endorsing someone who had the best chance of winning the election.

He said that it had nothing to do with the philosophy of government and everything to do with improving his brand.

The lawmaker was angling for Trump's support for a long time.

In March, Trump withdrew his endorsement of Brooks after he said that the GOP should stop campaigning for the 2020 election. Trump pulled his support from the congressman after accusing him of going "woke".

Last week, he sent out a public appeal to his supporters to get Trump toendorse him. The attempt failed, as Trump endorsed a candidate over another in the Alabama Senate race.

"He started listening to the wrong people and his lead evaporated overnight," Trump said. I withdrew my endorsement because of his words, and Mo has been wanting it back ever since.

He criticized Trump for endorsing the person.

The last time Donald Trump talked about the woman he said she was unqualified for the Senate.

Sometimes, Trump endorsements the wrong people. His own son, Don Jr., called "Alabama's Liz Cheney", is one of the people he endorsed.

He has received the support of GOP figures like Ted Cruz.

The representatives at the post-presidential press office didn't reply to the request.
