Sony has released an update for its free Share Factory Studio photo and video editing app on PS5 that allows you to add doodles, visual filters, and more onto your saved gameplay captures called "bits." The update is meant to make it easier for beginners to share a video. It offers a wide range of effects, including filters, text, sound effects, music, voiceover, and other visual effects.

If you save your creation to your console's storage, you can use it to send it to your friends on social media. These bits can be found in the Game Captures section of the PSone app. You can either download them to your computer or send them to someone else.

Cloud has a bit of a potty mouth, so I warn you.

This level of personalization is rare on consoles. It is above what Microsoft currently allows. I don't bother with share factory studio on PS5. I just use the Media Browser app to change the start and end times of my clips, then add context with text in a twit. I'm looking forward to spending more time with the feature because it seems like it's ripe for experimentation.
