Herschel Walker, a Republican Senate nominee in Georgia, has a second son who he doesn't publicly recognize.

Walker has a secret son that he isn't actively involved in raising, according to Scott Paradise, Walker's campaign manager. Walker has promoted his close relationship with his son in campaign speeches. Walker said in a speech that parents should hug their children every day.

According to The Daily Beast, the second child's mother took Walker to court a year after giving birth to obtain child support and a declaration of paternity. The child's name was not released due to privacy concerns.

The last child support order came when the boy was more than two years old.

Christian Walker, a 22-year-old son of Walker, was fathered by Walker's first wife. Walker has a close relationship with that son and has decried the issue of absent fathers in the Black community.

If you have a child with a woman, even if you have to leave her, you don't leave your child.

He had a child when he wasn't married, according to Paradise.

He supports the child and keeps doing so. He's proud of his kids. The suggestion that Herschel is hiding the child because he hasn't used him in his campaign is offensive and absurd.

The campaign chief pointed out that media coverage of Walker's second son was a complete double standard and that he was involved in a child custody dispute with his ex- wife.

The Democratic incumbent has dodged voters by hiding the case and trying to avoid authorities.

The statement was not immediately responded to by the campaign.

The reporting on Walker's second son marks the latest controversy for the politically untested athlete, who won Georgia's GOP Senate primary despite accusations of avoiding non friendly press and skipping debates Walker has been accused of exaggerating his business career.

Democrats currently have a razor-thin majority in the Senate, which could be decided by the outcome of the race.
