Sony’s Gran Turismo film hits theaters in August 2023

According to a new report from Deadline, the film will be hitting theaters on August 11th, 2023. The movie is supposed to be based on a real story.

It's really serious. The movie is based on a true story and tells the tale of a teenager who won a series of Nissan contests to become a professional race car driver. The story of someone from the GT Academy, which let Gran Turismo pros compete to join a real-life racing team sponsored by Nissan, appears in the film. Casting details aren't included in the report.

The movie is an adaptation of a game from the Sony console. The news that a series was in the works for a streaming service hit last month. Will Arnett is going to play a character in a metal show. The Last of Us won't be released this year, but it was filmed last week. A God of War TV show with Amazon is in the works, as well as a Ghost of Tsushima movie.
