Heard is still in the sequel to the movie "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom".
The actress, who has been in the public eye due to her defamation case with ex-husband Johnny Depp, was cut from the film and would be re-cast, according to a post on the site JustJared. Sources close to the production of the film say thatAmber has not been completely cut from the film. She has a limited role. The Insider reached out to Heard's camp which said the story was false and that the rumor mill was still going strong.
There is some grey area in those statements. Warner Bros. isn't saying anything. JustJared is standing by its story. What is the real thing? The DC Films chief was called to testify in the case. Heard was still in the film, and the studio considered recasting her, but it had nothing to do with her problems with Johnny. It was due to Heard's lack of chemistry with her co-stars. She was in the movie despite the studio's decision against it.
Heard said she believed her role had been cut back and that the sequel was not about that relationship. She is in the movie but it is not a huge role. The Hollywood Reporter has more about the testimony.
The film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is finished filming. James Wan posted on his social media account that he had finished shooting the sequel and since then, editing and visual effects have been in full gear. Is it possible that Wan and his team will reshoot the scenes with a new actress? Nothing is impossible. That is not a small task and it has not happened yet. Reports say that it is not currently in the plans.
The movie "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" will be released on March 17,23.
