The Swans have been at the bottom of the Premier League table in recent weeks. They have lost 5 of their last 6 Premier League games and drawn one.
Paul Clement’s side are now 20th in the table and have only managed to score 8 goals in all games in the Premier League conceding 18. There have been questions recently on whether the team can eventually overturn their present situation and avoid relegation. The Swans are not new to this kind of situation after battling relegation for most of last season before finishing in 15th in the table eventually.

The next transfer window will determine a lot in regards to the squad as the team has had to rely on Chelsea loan Tammy Abraham for about half of their goals in their Premier League this season. The club's top scorer,Llonrente, who scored 15 League goals for the team has left the Welsh side for Tottenham on a permanent basis and getting a permanent replacement for him will be a good step in the right direction for the team. The manager, however, will have to do a lot to gear up the momentum of the Squad ahead of the second half of the season, failure to do so will see the team relegated eventually and the club's manager losing his position as the head coach.40 points is said to be the minimum number of points required to stay up in the League and avoid relegation. Swansea, however, have only accrued 9 points in the Premier League this season. Getting the remaining magical 31 points required to avoid relegation already seems to be aHerculean task, even this early in the season.Swansea is currently stuck in the relegation zone and will have to do quite a lot to escape being relegated. Both teams in the zone alongside them will also be looking to stop the "landslide" at all costs. Already, West Ham have already taken a huge step towards doing that by signing a new head coach, this can be seen as a positive a step as a change in the hierarchy of command and approach might be what the team needs. Crystal Palace is another team in the relegation zone that has done the same thing and this already seems to be working for the team as Roy Hodgson’s side has actually seen a huge improvement in their results after failing to score a goal or even win a single match in the first few weeks of the season. Both teams have improved in recent weeks and will now be looking at a way to move out of the relegation zone. The January transfer window is something Roy will be looking forward to exploring.Swansea might just need to take a huge step like the remaining two clubs in the
relegation battle with them, perhaps a change of approach is what the team needs. Changing the manager might be a good way to go about that, however the club's board still needs to strengthen the team not minding whoever comes in to take charge of the team after Paul Clement. The January transfer window is a huge opportunity to do this. If the board do not then see any improvements in the results afterwards then there has to be a drastic change immediately after. You can check out theodds onSwansea avoiding relegation on

Many however believe it's impossible for the Welsh side judging by the number of points they have been able to accrue this season already, but then it's football and just about anything can still happen. We have seen teams overturning situations like this in the past, and Swansea won't be an exception if they begin taking the right step towards achieving this now. This will no doubt be a huge task for the boys, but if the coach can find a way to boost the momentum of the team, bring in some new players to increase competition in the Squad and provide options in certain key areas, it could be done. Replacing some of the players wouldn't be a bad idea either. Only then can we be talking about Swansea competing for a Premier League spot again come May.
