A new kind of business class seat is going to be introduced by the airline.
As per the report by Executive Traveller, the new Collins Aerospace Elements seat will be installed on the new Boeing 787-9s as of the year 2023. There are 11 Boeing 787-9s that the carrier in Abu Dhabi has on order.
The Business Studio is a staggered configuration with seats that are either forward or rear facing.

The new A350 business class from Etihad features reverse herringbone seats and doors.

Both of those products seem to have an upgrade over the new Collins Aerospace Elements seat. Privacy doors are also included in the seats. The 787-9s will feature an upgraded version of the new A350 business class.
The new suite is supposed to be more private and intimate. The seat in the Executive Traveller isn't yet custom made.




The Elements product is supposed to be an evolution of the Super Diamond configuration that is already in use.
It is difficult to fully judge this seat without being in it. It would be helpful to see a seat map to see if passengers are being allocated more space or if they are just being used more creatively.
I am excited to see it enter service as of next year. I think this will be the new standard of hard products.

I will reserve judgement when I sit in this seat.
