After a question was posed by the House select committee about the Jan. 6, 2021, attack, the silence was deafening, according to the host.

The committee presented evidence on Monday that Donald Trump and his inner circle knew his claims of a rigged election were false but pushed them anyway.

According to reports, on the night of the 2020 election, Trump ignored his campaign advisers and, on the advice of his intoxicated personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, declared victory while votes were still being counted.

In one portion of the testimony, the son-in-law of the president was asked if he had ever spoken to Trump about Giuliani. After a few moments, he said he had. He told his father-in-law that he wouldn't take the approach that he would if he were him.

It was a long pause. You could tell that he wasn't interested in answering the question. He didn't break out into a song called "We don't talk about Rudy" When someone asks you about a friend who was drunk at a party, you take a long pause.
