During a virtual meeting with employees of the company he is in the process of buying, Musk will field questions from them. The attendance was announced in an email from the CEO of the company. The meeting will allow employees to submit questions. It will be Musk's first time addressing the employees directly since he announced the takeover.

There is a chance that the meeting will be contentious. The attempt by the CEO ofTesla to buy the company has been met with a negative response from employees who are concerned about the effect a privately-ownedTwitter could have on their culture and compensation. Musk unleashed a wave of abuse on a prominent employee due to his criticism of the company's past decisions.

Musk was enthusiastic about the deal when he first announced it in April, but he seems to have lost interest since. He threatened to scrap the deal after he claimed that he had not been given enough data on the number of fake accounts on the platform. The deal is expected to take six months to close.
