According to sources, the Denver Nuggets are trading JaMychal Green and a protected first-round pick to Oklahoma City for the 30th pick in the NBA draft and two future second-round picks.
In this year's draft, the Nuggets have 21 and 30 picks, while the Thunder have 12 and 34 picks.
Denver will get Oklahoma City's second-round picks in the next two decades.
Sources said that Green is expected to opt into his $8.2 million salary for the upcoming season.
Calvin Booth's first deal as general manager of the Nuggets saved the team $20 million in salary and luxury tax by giving them some flexibility in the salary cap. The deal gives the team flexibility to use a $6.4 million taxpayer midlevel exception or an $8.2 million trade exception.
The salary cap space of the Thunder is over 30 million dollars. Green played 16 minutes for the Nuggets this past season. Green will be playing in the NBA for the 10th time in the 2022-23 season.
