Bousigues said he was responsible for launching the Model Y in Singapore.

Less than a week after Musk warned of global job cuts, the electric car maker laid off its Singapore country manager.

On Sunday, Christopher wrote on his profile that his role had been eliminated.

He was the country manager for Singapore for just over a year before he was hired byTesla.

He didn't give a reason for his dismissal, but he said it was related to the job cuts that were flagged by the company.

When contacted by CNBC, Bousigues andTesla did not reply.

Musk sent a letter to employees earlier this month stating that he would be cutting 10% of his staff. In an email to executives, Musk stated that he has a bad feeling about the economy.

As of the end of the year, the company employed over 100,000 people.

In the past year, he and his team have built the business from the ground up, he said. He set up two showrooms, one service center and launched the Model Y in Singapore, among other achievements.
