John Oliver breaks down the ways big tech companies strangle their competition

If you've been around the internet recently, you'll know that Apple, Amazon, and Meta have a lot of control over it.

That fact hasn't escaped John Oliver, who in his latest Last Week Tonight episode broke down the ways that tech companies dominate their competition.

Oliver says that the problem with letting a few companies control the entire economy is that it limits what is possible for startup companies. An innovative app or product may never get off the ground because it could be buried in search results or ripped off completely.

The bills would force the internet back to what it was supposed to be.
