Although he doesn't know who he will play for next season, Bale has not ruled out playing for his hometown club.

Mehmet Dalman flew to the UK to negotiate with the player.

Bale has several clubs that are interested in signing him, but he is yet to make a decision.

Bale said making the right move is important. I have choices.

After nine years in Spain, Bale left Real Madrid and is free to join a new team.

Wales will play in the World Cup for the first time in 56 years after his free-kick gave them a win against Ukraine.

Gareth Bale: I'm not going to Getafe, that's for sure

What is best for family and for Wales

Before deciding where to play his club football, Bale will consult the national team's manager, Rob Page, and his therapists.

He wasn't sure if he would drop to the Championship to play for Cardiff.

He said he couldn't say if the city was an option.

It's something I need to talk about with my family and the Wales manager.

I need to make sure that I am in top shape.

I didn't have a lot of game time coming into this camp.

I want to be fit enough to play in the World Cup and effective enough to play on the pitch for as long as I can.

Gareth Bale needs regular games next season, says Wales boss Robert Page

'I need more game time'

Bale wants to be in top shape for the World Cup at the end of the year.

I haven't looked at the whole thing. He told the radio station that he knows possible destinations.

I am confident that I will never lose my quality on the ball despite the standard.

I need more time on the field. People assumed I was injured when I didn't get picked for the games in Spain.

That is the perception. People think I play a lot of golf when I don't but I'm not. The press creates a narrative by writing things that aren't accurate.

He is not in a hurry to make a decision.

Bale was asked if he knew where he was going. With so many games coming thick and fast, there has been no time to think about it.

It will be sorted out in the summer. I don't have a timescale, I just need to think about what's best for me, my family, and hopefully we will sort that out over the summer.
