After an early glimpse of Starfield at Microsoft's showcase last year and a delay to 2023, we're now getting a closer look at the game. The role of the last group of explorers will be played by players in Starfield. Todd Howard, the game director, described the game as "Skyrim in space" and said it would be available in both first and third-person.
One of the more than 1,000 planets that players will be able to fly to and explore freely is the moon of Kreet. The first Starfield game shows a player freely roaming around in both first- and third-person views, collecting resources, and disturbing creatures that are also found on Starfield's many planets.
Pirates are hiding out in an abandoned lab. The weapons and progression system can be seen here. A jet pack can be used to propel yourself. Pick the locks of weapon cases that are found throughout Starfield if you want to find loot.
There is a main story about the last group of space explorers. You meet them in the capital city of New Atlantis, where they are looking for artifacts across the systems of Starfield. The artifacts are being used for something. The puzzle is to be solved. You can team up with other people to take on the pirates.
Howard revealed that the character creator is the studio's most flexible yet, allowing you to modify skin tones, facial structure, and more. The skill system for your character will include unlocks and separate ranks, and you will be able to choose three character characteristics. Resources can be used to make weapon mod.
You can build your own outpost and hire people to keep it running. You can build your own space ships, choose your crew members, and make your own look and layout. A variety of ship manufacturers and modules make it easy to create a unique ship.
Many of the battles in the game will not be limited to just planets, and flying around in Starfield shows that. There are more than a thousand planets to explore in the system of Starfield, and you can explore all of them. Even if the game looked a little slow at times, it looked ambitious. We don't know when it's going to launch.
Starfield was supposed to launch on November 11th, 2022, but Microsoft announced a delay to the first half of the following year. All of the games at the showcase are expected to be released in the next 12 months, and Starfield was recently listed as the earliest one. We might not be waiting too long to explore. Starfield will only be available on the PC and Xbox Series X.
