Anderson is considering retirement.

Ain’t gone lie Thinking bout Retiring…

Anderson followed that with a deleted message in which he scolded fans and said they entertainment was what was wrong with them. No man can decide what God will do for me. Jesus didn't go through as well. The real prevails.

Anderson has spent the past two seasons with the Carolina panthers.

It didn't take Anderson long to become a key contributor after he was signed by the New York Jets.

He had a career-high seven touchdown catches in his second season in the league.

Anderson's numbers dropped a bit over the next two seasons after Sam Darnold took over as the starting quarterback, and he signed a two-year contract with the Carolinas prior to the 2020 season.

Anderson set career highs with 95 catches and 1,096 yards in 2020, when Teddy Bridgewater threw to him.

He signed a two-year extension with the panthers.

Anderson played under Matt Rhule at Temple and was also teammates with Sam Darnold at the Jets.

Anderson had a career low in yards with 547 to go along with 53 catches and five touchdown.

Anderson was second on the team in receiving yards behind DJ Moore, but he could fall further behind if he plays.

In addition to Moore being the unquestioned No. 1 wideout, a healthy Christian McCaffrey at running back will command a ton of targets, as well as second-year receiver Terrace Marshall Jr.

If Anderson decides to retire, the depth of the offense will be in question, as well as the under center position, which will be held by Sam Darnold.
