Steph: I still feel like we can play 'a little bit' better (1:46)

The Warriors defeated the Celtics in the fourth game of the series. 1:45

Steve Kerr has made a lot of big decisions during his NBA career. He threw a forearm at Michael Jordan in a Chicago Bulls practice in 1995 because he was fed up with him.

The coach of the Golden State Warriors decided to take Draymond Green out of the game with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter of the NBA finals. The Warriors were in danger of losing to the Celtics. Green didn't play well and the player he went to was Kevon.

With Green out, the Warriors went on an 11-3 run to take the lead. Kerr decided to take Green out of the game once he decided to play Green on defense. In the more limited role, Green made several impactful plays and had one of his best stretches in the series as the Warriors closed out the win to even the series at 2-2.

Stephen Curry's greatness against the Celtics looks like it will manifest itself in volume 3-point shooting and modern pick-and-roll coverage. The title may be dependent on an old-school scenario: the big men.

It will be up to Kerr how he manages the situation with Green. The health of Celtics defensive ace Robert Williams III, who looked like he had injured his knee late in the fourth quarter of Game 4, has the potential to be a turning point in the series.

Both Kerr and Udoka were willing to wait until later on in the game to tell the story.

Udoka didn't hear anything from Rob.

It felt like a canard since Williams asked to be removed from the game with four minutes to go. He was pulled and never came back. The Warriors scored seven points in the last three minutes.

The Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics are tied at 2-2 in the NBA Finals. The show is in San Francisco.

The experts' picks and odds are listed.

Williams has the best defensive metrics. The Celtics defeated the Warriors by six points in the fourth game of the series. They were beaten by 16 when he was gone. Udoka could have known he wasn't available.

In the series, Williams has Blocks andSteals. He had a playoff career high. The Celtics are +20 when he is on the floor. He looked spry in both games. The Warriors were forced to cower as he swatted shots and covered huge ground.

Recovering from knee surgery late in the season and a bone bruise in his left knee, Williams' life has been all about playing. He gets a lot of deep-tissue massages in his calves and knees. Blood-flow restriction is a process that involves putting a ring around the knee that squeezes to promote healing and involves bags of ice by the ton.

He has played in eight straight games after missing seven of the Celtics' first 14 playoff games. It's not clear how he will feel in San Francisco for the fifth game of the series. It could be a huge variable.

The Celtics and Warriors are in a 2-2 tie for the NBA title. The action can be seen on ABC and in the app.

The fifth game is Monday at 9 p.m. The time is at GS.

It's possible that it's necessary.

Williams said his knee was up and down before the game. I kind of carryAdrenaline energy.

Williams will often guard Green because he is so limited on offense in these Finals that it allows him to go to another place. He was effective in the fourth quarter, posting five of his nine rebound and three of his eight assists in limited minutes, even though he was benched.

Kerr said it was the plan to reduce Green's minutes; the power forward played a low 33. Kerr decided to take Looney out of the starting lineup in order to give him more playing time in the fourth quarter.

It was one of the best decisions Kerr has made in the series. It could rise to the level of season-saving. In the first three games of the series, he played six minutes in the fourth quarter and eight minutes in the crucial fourth quarter.

"If you've got a group that's going well, you just stay with it," Kerr said. I didn't play much in the third game. I made a mistake. He had a big impact on the game.

After going +21 in the fourth game, Looney is a whopping +36 in the series. He has been the best rebounder and rim defender on the team. He's gotten a lot of baskets around the rim, shooting 13-of-18 as he gets putbacks and dump-offs. Green's shooting was 6 of-26.

Green said he was never thrilled to leave the game with seven minutes to go in the fourth quarter. If the coach decides, you roll with it. I had to stay focused in the game.

Kerr might have to do it again if there is a similar situation in Games 5 or 6. He has been the best big man. For Golden State to have its best offense out in crunch time, Kerr must play only one.

Kerr has stood by Green despite his temper and withering offense in recent years. It's only going to get more intense now that it's being tested.

This is a big part of the Finals for both sides.

Kerr does not want his players to be happy if he takes them out. Raymond is very competitive. We will do whatever it takes in the fifth game.
