'The fight is on' - Hearn confirms Joshua v Usyk date to be announced next week

Anthony Joshua will make a formal announcement next week about his fight with Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia in August.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua has been delayed for months.

Eddie said the paperwork is done.

An announcement will be made early next week, according to Hearn.

The delays had been caused by Usyk's return to Ukraine after the invasion of the country by Russia, but broadcast deals have also been a factor.

Usyk's promoter Oleksandr Krasyuk said they have been told to prepare for 20 August, which is when the second match was supposed to take place.

Things do take time in a fight like this. It has taken time, but we are in a good place. He and Oleksandr Usyk have been training for a long time.

I have never seen him go into a fight with more confidence. He's going to win the fight, that's what we think.

Fury remains retired

Frank Warren has denied that Tyson Fury is in talks to fight the winner of Joshua and Usyk.

After his win against Dillian Whyte in April, he said he would retire, but is yet to be stripped of his title.
