The US is becoming a hot spot for the coronaviruses as travel restrictions and mandates ease up.

According to the New York Times, Miami, Honolulu, and San Juan are experiencing a noticeable increase in positive cases. On Friday, the White House announced that travelers to the US will no longer be required to test negative before entering the country.

According to the findings of a New York Times database, Miami-Dade County, Honolulu County, and San Juan are each reporting positivity rates higher than 20%, with an average of 85 positive cases per 100,000 residents.

The New York Times reported that the positive case rate in Miami has worsened since April.

People aren't taking precautions as they used to. There was a time when people were masking more here in the county. People are not being as careful because they are tired.

In an interview with the New York Times, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said that her county is the most vaccined in the state. She continued to remind people to take precautions.

She told the New York Times that they know how to control the disease.

Demand for air travel and the end of masking mandates on airplanes contributed to the rise in cases.
