The Florida sprinter won the 100 and 200 meters at the NCAA track and field championship.

The sprinter won the 100 title in a personal-best 10 seconds. She was second in 10.08. The nation's fastest time this year was by Oregon's Micah Williams.

Fahnbulleh said that he just did his race plan.

He finished in 19.83 to beat Matthew Boling of Georgia.

The men's team title was won by the Florida Gators. Second place went to Texas with 38.

Hacker surged in the final 80 meters to win the 5000 in 13:03. Tim Hacker was the 1985 NCAA cross-country champion.

"It's one of those things, I came into this race, this is what I wanted, this is what I dreamed about, and they were kind of stressed out dreams," Hacker said. It wasn't real and I didn't know what it would be like. It felt really good.

North Carolina A&T's Randolph Ross defended his outdoor title in the 400 and got the indoor-outdoor sweep in the event. The United States won a gold medal in the 1,600 relay at the Tokyo Games.

Cunningham won the hurdles in a personal-best time. At the indoor championship, Cunningham won the 60 hurdles.

Moad Zahafi won the 800 in a time of 1:44.49. The third-fastest time in NCAA history was achieved by him earlier this year.

"Like everyone else, I came here with one goal, and that's to win," he said. I want to win for my team because it's my last meet at Texas Tech.

Washington sophomore Joe Waskom won the 1,500 in a time of 3:45.58, besting his opponent from OleMiss. Sean Burrell of LSU defended his title in the 400 hurdles with a time of 48.70, and Eastern Kentucky's Ahmed Jaziri won the steeplechase with a time of 8:70.

The Southern California team won the race. The 1,600 was won by Florida in 2:57.88.

The temperature for the men's finals was in the 60s. Saturday is when the women's finals will take place.
