Musk said last month that he would vote Republican in the next presidential election, but he had previously voted for Democrats. In the past two US presidential elections, Musk has said that he voted for Hilary Clinton and Joe Biden. Musk told Fortune that he was excited for the new president to take office and that he would work closely with the Biden administration on efforts to address climate change. Musk said in January that the new administration was focused on climate. I think the future of sustainable energy is going to be very bright with the new administration. He said that the wind is at our back for solving the climate crisis. Musk might not have been the first choice for a candidate for the Democratic party. The US should set an age limit that would not allow people over the age of 70 to run for office in order to disqualify both Biden and Trump, according to Musk. During The Wall Street Journal's CEO Council in December, Musk stated that the administration should scrap the $2 trillion package. Legislation that would authorize a tax credit of up to $12,500 for Americans if they buy an electric car assembled by unionized workers was taken issue with by the CEO. The bill would allow Ford and GM to stay in the UAW. The Democratic Party has a plan to tax US billionaires. The legislation would have given the billionaire an annual tax bill of $10 billion. "Eventually, they run out of other people's money and then they come for you," he wrote on the social networking site. Biden has praised GM and Ford for their electric car efforts, but has not commented on the company. The president has visited GM and Ford factories, and taken test drives in their upcoming electric pickup trucks, but has not been to the huge factory of the electric car company. In February of this year, nearly 40,000 people signed a petition on Change.org calling for Biden to acknowledge the role played by the company in the electric-car industry. The petition said that the White House and the Biden Administration have been trying to ignore the hard work ofTesla and other electric car companies. It's an insult to the Americans who work for the company. After the president met with executives from Ford and GM, he publicly praised them for building more electric vehicles in the US. Biden's statements on GM and Ford have focused on the unionized workforce. The CEO of the company took a stance against the union. In March, Musk invited the union to his factory, while a video of former UAW members criticized the union. The UAW helped some workers unionize with the help of the company. The National Labor Relations Board ruled last year that Musk and his company were in violation of the law. The group said that Musk was ordered to remove the anti-union message from his account. The California Civil Rights Regulator is looking into claims of racial discrimination at the factory. Continue to read.
