The prospect of not having a future as a motivation for running in this cycle is one of the reasons that Cao assures that he is a strength.

He says we need people from the future generations that will have to deal with this problem for a long time. We can't allow the same people of status quo to stay in power because they have failed us. It's time for me to have enough of it. Join in and fight the problem on your own.

There's more than one person in the fight. He says that he has a great community and that they are always there for each other.

He says that everyone has been excited by the prospects, not just of the fact that the youngest person to ever run in Ohio history is in our district, and that someone who can lead the way for more campaigns to come.

Although he is young compared to other candidates, Cao believes that his age should not deter young people from getting involved in politics.

If the government affects everyone, including young people, shouldn't their voices be heard in government as well? It's like taxation without representation if we don't have any input. This is not a real democracy.

For the majority of people who won't run for public office, it's a really weird experience.

I pinch myself when I wake up because it feels like a dream sometimes. The amount of attention and traction that our campaign has gotten and the amount of people that we have inspired... we have people every day sending us emails or coming up to us on the streets saying, 'Oh hey, we saw you on TV'

During his visit to an elementary school, young students ended up feeling very inspired by the fact that they don't have to be in their early 30s or late 20s to start bringing about change.

In the first two months of his campaign, he had up to 12,000 new followers on the social networking site. His social media presence has grown by 2000 followers a week.

The Ohio House of Representatives primaries will be held in August and early voting will begin in July.

Regardless of the outcome of the election, he will continue to pursue higher education.
