Those are works of art? It is a phrase I hear a lot when talking about the work of the artist. You would swear it was a photo if you saw the painting the Illinois-based artist made. People sometimes think they are photos. We are certain that they are not.

His fourth exhibit of pop culture portraits in his beautifully detailed style will be on display at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles, CA. He finished work on his last show in 2020.

At the end of each show, I write down thoughts and ideas for what I should do on the next one, as it relates to process and what it takes behind the scenes to bring a show together. Bringing a show together is not always straight forward. It can start one way and end another way. The amount of time spent on each piece pushes it to be the best version I can make. This show is very close to what I had in mind. Projects that weren't in the original plan are ready to go for the next show. It's always good to have a leg up.

We have a selection of pieces from the show that opens on June 11. One of the most famous sci-fi films is about to be revealed. Multiple teases were created by Gallagher. There are blurry images with a line of dialogue to give a hint of what will happen in the show. These are not rocket science according to the image above. We are pretty sure that there will be a HanSolo in there.

io9 can exclusively tell you that the painting of Harrison Ford's character, Rick Deckard, in Blade Runner has been painted by the man. The likeness is difficult to perfect.

A painting from underpainting to a finished piece can take up to six days to complete. Prep work such as drawings and post-work like framing are not included.

Is there any way to guess? We think it's from the DC Universe. It could be a Pixar movie. It is a joke, of course.

The piece of The Dark Knight that is larger than four by four inches is a painting by Gallagher. You can either display it upside down or right side up.

In the current show, I have been able to take some pieces and their frames further than I have before. I haven't done these things before. I wouldn't be able to call these improvements a success without the base of those prior shows. I want everyone to see them.

It's a no-brainer. I think it is from Beauty and the Beast. Is it the classic film, the animated original, the live-action remake, or the TV show with Ron and Linda Hamilton? It's a joke! Saturday will be the day we find out.

I didn't like this one on the first page. I messed up my own part. It looks like Mr. Harrison Ford will be well represented in the show, not just with Deckard, but also with the other characters from The Empire Strikes Back.
