The first public hearings on the Capitol riot were not going to have an impact, according to Chris Wallace. Throughout the night, he kept his doubts. You can watch the videos below.

When Anderson Cooper inquired about the importance of the panel building its case, Wallace was previewing the proceedings.

The January 6, 2021, insurrection to overthrow the 2020 election was made clear by the moderate Wallace when he left Fox News. It was important that the hearing present something new for the unpersuaded and hammer home what a big deal the siege was.

He said he was skeptical about what would be seen over the next couple of weeks.

Wallace criticized the "terrible hype" used by the two congressmen who promised to blow the roof off the house.

The hearings were being produced in a way that made him uncomfortable.

Jim Goldston was the former president of ABC News. I don't think that's a good look for the committee and mainstream media to see each other.

Wallace admitted after the hearing ended that the Jan. 6 videos did not lose their ability to shock and to disgust you and to horrify you. For those who still deny the gravity of the revolt, I don't think this will change their minds.

2/ On @CNN, Chris Wallace seems impressed by the @January6thCmte presentation but remains skeptical that hard core Trump supporters will have their minds changed …because they're insurrectionists at heart
