A new version of the McDonald's franchise will open across the country as a result of the popular western fast food chain leaving Russia. The franchise logo features a green background with a red circle and two yellow shapes that are meant to refer to a burger and fries while also forming the rough shape of an "M." You can see it if you tilt your head. On Sunday, Russia Day, locations will reopen with a new brand.

Two months after McDonald's ceased operations in Russia, the fast food chain announced that it would be leaving the country. The entire portfolio of McDonald's restaurants in Russia would be sold to a local buyer as part of the exodus. Chris Kempczinski said that McDonald's has a commitment to our global community and must remain steadfast in our values.

According to The Guardian, the new chain was rumored to be called "My Burger," but RIA Novosti later learned that it was a fake. 15 restaurants in the Moscow area will reopen on Sunday with a new brand of food.
