In a Truth Social post on Friday morning, Trump claimed he "NEVER said or even thought of saying, 'Hang Mike Pence,'" calling it a made up story by someone looking to become a star."

Trump called Barr a "coward" and "stupid" for peddling false allegations of fraud in the election.

After Barr told the January 6 Committee in a clip that he thought Trump's claims of voter fraud were "bulls**t", Trump posted.

Trump said his daughter was not involved in looking at or studying election results because she accepted Barr's conclusion that there was no widespread voter fraud.

The insurrection was caused by a rigged and stolen election according to Trump.

I told the president that he was bulls**t if he said the election was stolen. In a video shared by the committee, Barr said that he didn't want to be a part of it.

Key Background

The House Committee, made up of seven Democrats and two Republicans, on Thursday shared a host of revelations about its months-long probe into the insurrection, including that Trump didn't call any agencies like the Department of Defense to help secure the Capitol. The Capitol Police officer who was injured during the riots and who described the scene at the Capitol as a "warzone" was one of the witnesses. The chair of the committee concluded that Trump encouraged far right groups like the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers.

What To Watch For

There will be another hearing on June 13. The session will focus on Trump's failed million dollar campaign to perpetuate false allegations of election fraud and how he ignored advice from staffers and other government officials who said his claims were not true.

Riot defendants say Trump asked them to storm the capitol.

It was approved by the president to hang Mike Pence. Staffers were reportedly told to chant during the Capitol Riot.
