Image: Billy Bingham has died at the age of 90

Billy Bingham was the manager of the Northern Ireland team that made it to the 1986 World Cup.

After he won 56 caps for his country as a player between 1951 and 1963, he was in charge of Northern Ireland for two spells, the first in 1971 and the second in 1993.

He was the manager of Linfield and Argyle for a while.

He began his career in 1948 with Glentoran and went on to play for eight years for Sunderland before retiring.

Everyone at Glentoran is deeply sad to hear of Billy's death.

Everyone at the club is praying for Billy's family and friends.

In his 17-year playing career, he scored 133 goals in 525 appearances for four different teams.
