Tucker Carlson opened his Fox News show on Thursday evening by making it clear that neither he nor Fox News would be broadcasting the historic House select committee hearing on the attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Carlson refused to play along with the hearing, which he said was degrading and offensive.

Carlson compared the hearing to something you might see in a dictatorship, saying that this is the only hour on an American news channel that will not carry their propaganda live.

We will not allow them to do it.

As the House committee broadcasted previously unseen footage of the shocking violence by a mob of Donald Trump supporters, Carlson panned out shots of members of Congress watching the footage.

He and his producers had hysterical chyrons on the screen for their millions of viewers to see. The leaders will end their 90 minutes of therapy 90 minutes later. On January, our leaders are focused. While pretending the real threats exist.

Carlson welcomed a murderer's row of his favorite guests, including a onetime speech writer for Donald Trump who was kicked out of the White House for speaking at a white supremacist conference.

He was one of the main talking heads for the docuseries.

Carlson used his prime-time hour Thursday to recount the wild revisionist history of January 6th, when the FBI staged the attack on the Capitol in order to arrest Trump supporters.

Carlson tried to make a false equivalency between the Jan. 6 attack and the anti-racism uprisings of 2020.

They turn a blind eye to political violence when it benefits them. They want to put Americans in jail when they have anger. What constituted a real American was not explained.

Fox News did not air a commercial for the entire hour.

Matthew Gertz is a senior fellow at Media Matters. Fox is trying to keep viewers from watching the hearing on another channel.

Tucker Carlson is being allowed to do his regular show on Fox News. They are leaving money on the table to push his propaganda.

Carlson threatened another insurrection while arguing that what happened on January 6 was not an insurrection.

He said that the attack to try to stop Congress from certifying the electoral college vote was not an insurrection. If you don't pay attention to legitimate concerns. When gas goes to $5, you should buy an electric car. You can't live in a filthy city. Your children don't have a chance of getting married and having a grandchild when the economy is so bad. If you behave like that, you could get an insurrection if you don't care about anything at all.
